Mike got his start in filming back in 1998 when he worked on any animation for Campbell Soup.  Ever since then he has had his eye stuck to a view finder of his video camera.  Why Cali was an idea that Dave and him came up with one night after getting some clean video of a surf competition.  Since that day Why Cali has traveled all over the world to see music events and festivals.
